Denim tops are going to be considered highly unprofessional but you can definitely make them look office appropriate with jean pants in black grey or navy and a neutral colored blazer let it be charcoal navy or beige. Remember the business part of business casual and leave your old comfortable clothes at home.

What not to wear when the dress code is business casual. For example you might wear a full suit with a jacket and tie for a job with a business professional dress code but for a business casual dress code you could wear slacks and a dress shirt without the jacket and tie.
